New Member Orientation

New Member Orientation

Sunday, January 4th, 11am-1pm

Remember to:

  • Arrive on time.
  • Plan to stay the entire time.
  • Sign in and sign out.
Find out about the history and direction of the Coop, and how to be a member.  Tour the store, and review Membership Policies, and Join.
Mandatory* for new members and recommended for those interested in becoming members.  This is also a good 411 for older or returning members who haven’t had a formal introduction to the Coop.
At the Orientation, you may join the coop by filling out our Membership Agreement, signing up for an in-store work shift, and paying your membership fee.  If you choose to not join during orientation, you may join by coming into the store during open hours and speaking with the manager.
Other Upcoming Orientation Dates will be announced soon.
*Can’t ever make an orientation?   E-mail for more information!

Annual Membership Meeting

Monday, April 7th: 7 – 9 pm

As always, our annual membership meeting promises to be a fun and festive event!

Please join us to vote on important issues, elect Board Members, eat popcorn, enjoy BYOB and enter to win the Snack-O-Rama contest for a $25 store credit (or simply enjoy the submissions. Details below).

It will be a productive, fun meeting, so long as we have you there!

The Coop needs all Active and Alert members that can make it to be present to cast their votes.  Meeting attendance counts toward the work requirement.  Please be sure to sign in and out to get work credit.
NOT A MEMBER?  Please still come!  We welcome friends from the community.  This meeting does not count toward the orientation requirement, but attendance does count toward the work requirement if and when you decide to join the coop.  Please be sure to sign in and out to get work credit.

The Prize: A $25 shopping spree at the BFC, and your recipe will be posted on our website! The winner will be determined by vote during the meeting.

What?: In the spirit of true collaboration and in celebration of the art that surrounds us in our beautiful neighborhood, we are planning to create a diorama window display inside our new wooden fruit crates.
Participate: We want everyone to get involved! Bring photos, drawings, figurines, fake food, fake flowers, etc. to contribute!
